As the tween music duo behind the band Dog Party, the Giles girls are proving it’s never too soon to rock! Read more...
With a single guitar riff intro, Sacramento based sisters Gwen and Lucy Giles come out of the gates with a CD that both delights in their minimal guitar and drums approach and squeezes a ton of charm out of their garage attack. This is not the bash em’ up attack of the Black Keys, but more of the charm of the early ‘90’s girl rock transported magically into 2010.

Straight dead head to Phili from Sacramento in a 24 foot RV. We took Jeff Valentine out on the road with us to help out and rock out. The first show was off the hook in Philadelphia. The crowd was going off from the beginning of the night till bus call. The SWR gang, Matisyahu, and Dirty Heads were all very cool to the SexRat. We were rolling out with the tour buses, 18 wheelers and the rest of the circus about 4am. The Baltimore gig was right on the water, it was cool to walk around and check stuff out in town. The show was great, sold out just like the night before. We had a day off in NYC where we hooked up with Brandon an old friends of Marc's from New York. He shot pics of us playing the Nikon theatre the next night. That place is off the hook. Tunnels, floating stage, and a quite little pier behind the 14,500 capacity amphitheatre where you can fish or check out the promoters kick ass boat that is tied up. We then headed to Virginia to play outside of Richmond. Hot,Hot,Hot got extra beer, ice, and wine from the WaWa. We camped out with The Dirty Heads at the venue and then we were off to Roanoke VA to play a club gig on our night off at Bary's Awful Aurthur's. It was good times as always with Bary and the gang. Apple Pie. The next night was our last with SWR tour. It was the best show of the five for us even though I had some guitar issues. Bud sat in with us on DH kit to jam Made in China, and we were having fun with the crowd. The Masquerade is a great place, and ATL is almost unbeatable for good times. We then went to New Orleans to play Saturn Bar, and our friend and sax player Jason Boggs was in town. We did a few songs with him and then went out on the town. The next day Chris Watson took us to see alligators through the swamp land, then we drove back to Sacramento. We would like to thank Bud, Eric, Rome, Cheese, Amber, Ray, 2Johnys', Nicole and everyone else who showed us such a good time.
